I'm trying to find a scrabble game for the pc, theres the official one but it seems to be £30 which seems a bit steep.

Are there any decent freeware/pay to download ones that are any good?

I've looked before, the only decent one was the official one though. £30 is far too steep so I obtained it other ways.

Played facebook scrabble with a mate, of course it doesnt have many customization options but for a quick dirty game of scrabble it fitted the bill.

Do abbreviations count in scrabble? Always boils my blood when theyre used against me.

Sort of on topic, I stumbled accross this website a few months back and found it quite addictive. It's like a MMO scrabble game, im sure there are hundreds of thousands words on the board, you just pick a space and start playing.

Make sure to have a look at the board map while expanded to get a sense of the scale, it's crazy lol

Cheers guys, think i'll go with that one from Tesco. Its for my girlfriends mum and she didnt fancy the iphone version
