So yeah, it's had this scraping noise from the offside rear wheel since I got it.
I think it's becoming more noticable, but only if you're driving down a narrow street with the window open, as you can hear noises better with the reflection..

Anyway.. wheel bearing?

FWIW, it's not a constant sound. It's almost as if it's one scrape per wheel rotation, but I can't imagine the wheels rotate that slowly..
It almost sounds like something's scraping the metal housing around the brakes, if you know what I mean.

I've already done a few thousand with this noise.. Is this something that should be fixed, or just a wait until it explodes, like the squeal from under the bonnet? :p

OP: Does it happen on flat roads or over bumps? Bit of a silly question, but you never know. ;) Also, pop the wheel off and check for anything that's been rubbing.
On a normal road, driving along at any speed. Although like I said, it's hard to hear it on an open road.

I didn't see anything wrong when I had a nosey when I had the tyres changed though.
I'll take the wheel off one day and investigate..

Just remembered it didn't come with a jack though.

It could be the metal shield around the disc - I've had a stone stuck in one before which made a hell of a racket! But They can get bent and foul on the disc sometimes
That's what it sounds like. It's that kind of metallic noise.

It's just annoying that with those stupid multispoke alloys you can't see a bloody thing behind the wheel..
