hi,

i was going to use A.silver5 but i decided to just use the thermal pad that came on the heatsink, but i noticed there is a faint scratch in the pad, not really bad but it is noticable.

this be ok?

What heat sink are you talking about ?

Thermal pad? is it for your 8800?

EDIT I just seen you other post. I would use AS5 do as Admiral Huddy says.

were would i get denature alcohol ? or what is it?

am getting bit tired ov this PC now , just want it dun tbh. =(

i take it the AS5 is much better, just dnt wanna mess it up... !

A chemist should stock isopropyl alcohol, that will be good for cleaning. If your tired walk away and do it later, best to do it properly 1st time :)

what are you putting it on? If its on a cpu just put a thin line in the middle of the cpu and put the heatsink on and twist in clock wize and anti clockwize 90 degrees then stick it down for good.

It'll be fine - the pad melts when you first use it anyway.

You only really need to bother with AS5 if you're going to be overclocking.
