My sis used a scourer to wash parts of my car and its metallic silver so she didn't see the scratches. At night, I noticed a whole load of slight scratches. Doesn't seem to be deep.

Please tell me theres a way to repair this without re spraying the body of the car? maybe some sort of polish/wax or special cloth can be used.

I am quite annoyed by this. please help me guys.

Just taken another look. scracthes everywhere. seems to be light scratches so fingers crossed.

i'm gonna pop down to halfords 2morw morning and sort it out. hopfully it can be fixed and done.

anyone repaired light scratches? easy?

wax will do nothing as it doesn't cut, and any polish you use will be far too mild. I'd suggest trying scratch X and then moving up to T-Cut for metallics if it's not doing the job.

Gosh thats horrific! :S

I would say to get the quickest and most effective results your going to need to find someone with a porter cable polisher and some knowledge. Try detailingworld.co.uk forum - someone may be in the local area.

I would get some poorboys SSR (super swirls remover) 2 for this, you can use it by hand - but it will certainly take some effort!

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Dont use t-cut if you can help it!

If you rub your fingernail over the scratches and you can feel them, chances are that T-cut and Scratch X won't be able to get rid of them.

got some Turtlewax Safe-Cut Scratch Remover and Autoglym polish. bonnet and bumper looks good as new. I need to re do the side mirrors as if you look up close, you can still see faint white lines. The scratches are light(thank god) and looks ok.

I'm gonna check it again later 2nite once it darker. I got a question for all you car cleaning experts. Is this the correct order?

wash -> polish (let dry) -> wax?

I really don't understand this. I mean, I hear of sooooooo many people using scourers on their cars/partners cars. Don't they realise? Do they have common sense?

Good news anyway about the scratch remover, glad it's working dude. You were very lucky! ;)
