Scratched Disks IE: Windows OS

What l do with my OS Disk is make BOOTABLE USB Stick and put the OS on that, keeping your origional OS Disk in good condition, there's plenty of info on the net how to do it just google it.

Sorry should have made it abit more clear, yes install OS from a bootable usb stick and it is alittle bit quicker. Like audiolab to save time if things go wrong with c:. I restore it of a image, which like audiolab l keep up to date.

PS - one of our cats sat on my keybroad and submited the reply so had to finish it by edit.

LoL, yes l agree with you Mattus, but you have to take > sod's law into account or as Commander Sam Shaw from Stingray would say, when they were about to be attacked " Anything can happing in the next half hour"
