Scratched my Monitor 'Not happy'

Hi guys,
Can you believe it, there I was putting in my new Zalman CNPS9500-LED CPU fan and whilst moving my case I must have accidentally caught my monitor and caused a 2-3 inch scratch just to the left centre.
Damn I am not happy.
Well it now looks like the Samsung will have to be used as a 2nd monitor so gonna be lookin for a new 22"-24" widescreener.
Is the new Samsung 225BW much cop.

Well I have ordered the 22" Samsung 225BW got it for £304 including postage.
The wife has said I cant have it until Xmas though, darn it.
I probably will have got used to the scratch by then.
;)
 
Buy the screen on a credit card with accident insurance? Got home insurance (and can afford a premium hike)?
 
i got a scratch down my monitor, its verry verry ultra thin tho, cant see it unless you have a magnifing glass or somthing daft lol, it doesnt bother me its been there about 2 years. i think it was the edge of a knife blade when i was cutting a zip-tie off a old case fan
 
Some credit cards cover accidental damage, as might your home insurance...either might get you a replacement screen, but a claim on the home insurance would likely put up your premium.

I'm not clumsy though so I've never tried claiming on either :p
