I was moving back from abroad and packed up my PC to ship it. Took all the cards out and had about 100m of bubble wrap to protect the case and monitors. Everything survived just fine...

...until I used a Stanley knife to cut away the bubble wrap from the monitor. There was a small (1-2cm deep scratch and then this 8cm strip of film peeled off. Now it looks like this:

The monitor is an Acer Predator XB321HK 32 inch monitor.

Simple question really: Is there any hope in hell of getting this repaired?

I did something similar to my absolutely perfect 24" Benq a few years ago.

Zero light bleed, no dead pixels etc., and then I scratched the top left of the screen putting my case side panel back on.

Nothing to be done I'm afraid.

Maybe claim on your house insurance?

But of course that puts your premiums up.

Figured as much. Thanks anyway for the technical analysis :D

I'll probably keep using it for a while and maybe take out a second mortgage to buy another one eventually!
