Scratched up rear disc - new pads

Just stuck my new pads on (Sintered Goldfren S33) and they are much better than my old EBC organics, however my disc is now scratched up. The scratches are even and light, but you can feel it has become roughish.

Now I'm guessing (and hoping) this is normal as the discs I took off this bike were scratched in the same way.

Is it just because I've now got sintered which are a different compound?

Thanks

yh they have tiny metal particles, scratched is fine aslong as its not deep scoring, ive been using sintered pads for years and still on original discs

Yeah, it's nothing deep. My fingernail doesn't catch when I run it along, it's just noticeably scratched after the first ride since changing from my old organics.

Here it is:

It does now look like the discs I took off the bike when I first got it tbh

yh that looks fine, its only if you let them wear down to the metal that they will score the discs

that scratching is normal for sintered pads,i bet you can feel the difference from organic

Yup, LOVE them, wouldn't go back to organic now. Sintered are so much better.

just keep an eye on it
I have had to stop using my Sintered Armstrong HH pads as they were eating in to my new disc's way to much, they have done about 10k+ worth of wear in just 2k

I've only used the ebc,but they became too expensive so switched to the goldfren, they don't wear my discs down though must be atleast 8 or nine years I've been using them
