Okay, so as a parting gift, I've noticed that my recently deceased Xbox has kindly scratched 2 of my games - so my replacement Xbox can't read them!

In all honesty it's probably my fault, because while I was trying to fix the freezing problems with my old Xbox, I moved the Xbox around while the games were playing - so now i have some circular scratches on the disk.

They're not particularly deep and they don't go around the entire disk, so I was wondering.... before i take them to Blockbusters to get them looked at (apparently they do a disc repair service) - does anyone know of a REAL working home-made solution that will fix them up?

Apparently toothpaste is BS... but i think I remember using Brasso in the past!

Any one had any luck?

Thanks!

Take them to game or gamestation, they do it for quite cheap. I have a skipdr that works great. They isn't any great makeshift solutions.

use toothpaste and peanut butter + diet coke.

It does work because i have used it numerous times for my dvd's.

Toothpaste does work, I've used it many times to fix discs.

This or try a very small ammount of G3 cutting compound. Worked wonders on a iffy copy of PGR3, only cost 99p so rather than spend more than the cost of the game on getting it fixed I used some spare G3 I had laying around.
