Scratches on wrist rest

I've got some scratches on the wrist rest of my Vaio and was wondering if there is anyway to get rid of them at all as I've ordered an InvisibleSHIELD for it and it'll look a bit pants with the scratches underneath.

Its not just the wrist rest that I would need to replace. The wrist rest piece of plastic goes down the side of the keyboard as well as underneath.

i think you'll find it hard to get the scratches out, if it was me i'd google and see how easy it is to replace the whole palmrest and go from there.
