Only reason they brought her back was because they got rid of the main cast member from the previous films and Jenna walked after they did. 7 was going to be a completely different movie.

Supposodly Barrera was going to be a killer in the 7th movie if it had happened how it was meant to go. Would have made for an interesting plot point with the prey now being the hunter , but it wouldn't have really been all that surprising seeing how handy she was with a knife in 5 and 6 and Loomis in her head. It was all foreshadowing a turn.

What a waste of the franchise after they had started to turn it around with the last few films, after they got rid of the main cast and Jenna walked it should have been shelved instead of making it for the sake of it.
First thing I've seen Isabel May in since 1923 but even she couldn't turn this around.
