I loved this game and at the time the graphics blew me away.
I remember running it on a 3dfx card and it even ran under dos lol.

( check out the graphics :D )

PS- funny rose tinted glasses arnt they
I remember the first day trying to play this game and it would freeze every 5 minutes or so. cant remember how i got it working but when i did, oh the memories !

:)

I don't even remember that it supported 3Dfx. All I know is that I had some good fun with a 486 DX4 100 and Cirrus Logic 512Kb ISA graphics :)

Only under DOS glide (much like some other car games from that era, Carmageddon and GTA).

Very good arcade racer, although a little short perhaps.

Yep loved it :D

Still have my original game as well and the Screamer games before it. SR was the best in the series though and at the time a landmark 3DFX title as the gfx were stunning and the driving model was perfect (albeit arcadish with no realism).

You can still get this running today but it obviously looks dated.

If you want a similar modern game Sega Rally is the one to get as it looks stunning and has a very similar feel to the Screamer games :D

the memories...the one before this was my favourite game for a long time though.
going over the bridge and doves flying past...damn some nice memories of this game.

Screamer rally was awesome, it was a barely disguised Sega Rally knock-off but it was huge fun :D

Ahh... The good old days of spending hours and hours trying to get a game to work on my computer, but to no avail. :p

pffftt it's all about the original screamer! now that was awesome, still have my game disc somewhere!
