I built a new PC for my brother 2 weeks ago and it's been running nicely. Today however he tells me there are a artefacts all over the screen. I suspect the graphics card here.

Any thoughts?

First check what are your temps on gpu. If they are high maybe not sufficient cooling but I would just contact e-tailor you got gpu from. Usually gpus with artefacts have to be rma for replacement or fix. It's always good to check gpu in another pc if it artefacts, maybe you have a friend with a gaming pc that can check?
