Screen blinking when using DVI @ 1600*1200

Hi All,
I recently bought a Samsung 204B and found that I cannot run the monitor on 1600*1200 using DVI. The screen continually blinks, seemingly trying to adjust to the new resolution.

1280*1024 DVI is fine.
1600*1200 Analog is fine.

I am running Xp Pro Sp2, Gainward 2600 6800 Ultra.
Tried both old and new nvidia drivers, no difference.

Anyone have/had this problem? I am thinking its the monitor itself?
I had a 21" CRt, and 1600 was fine.

Nope, what is the refresh rate set to? Should be 60hz.

yeap 60hz... I have been tryng to drop it below 60hz, which drags the V-rate down also but no luck

Had same problem after a bios flash. Turned out bios didnt like my card. I know thats not relevant here except it could just be a computer problem and nothing actually wrong with the monitor. Just my 2 cents.
