i have just started to notice some screen burn/Image persistence
on my 24" DGiM
is there any ways of reducing this ? its noticable realy bad on light backgrounds :(

is this a problem that would be covered by warrenty ect ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_Persistence

I get it on my dell monitor in work (as the application is on screen for the full day its worse nearer finishing time), in the mornings its fine but as the day goes on its gets more pronounced. So i'd second wikipedia's solution: (The fastest remedy for image persistence is to leave the display off for an extended period of time. This time can range anywhere from hours to days.)

Im assuming its a TFT/LCD and not a CRT monitor?

think id try out the warrenty route first and contact them but i suspect they wont take it. But you may be able to pay to have it fixed. Which i think id rather as i dont think there is any cure for the problem, just ways of making it less pronoused.

As far as i've been told, tft get screen browning...not burn. It should be fixable by leaving it off or running a program to alternate the display between light/dark for a few hours.
