Screen capture

been using fraps but it doesnt work with eyefinity atm, only caps half the screen.

Any freeware or cheap screen capture software that will alow me to take captures at 5740x1080

camstudio or hypercam are pretty good, although you need a hard drive that tops 300MB/s write speeds to capure at that resolution otherwise recordings will stutter heavily

thanks for that im not after video recording at that res just screenshots, if i record I drop to single screen

not sure in game as I havent tried it, but on desktop it caps all three screens at full res

hmm fraps was running an old version 3.1.0 as 3.1.2 is latest so have upgraded and will test it later

i find that in games and some programs printscreen only comes out as a white screen.

I know that dx10 games come out black or white in print screen on high resolution.

but then i have to tab out of game paste and save before i can take another one, with fraps you just hit the button and it auto names and saves the picture

all sorted now, I emailed beepa who make fraps and they knocked up a beta version for me to try out and it works

For this purpose it is posseble to use the program Screen VidShot. To me has very much helped.
