For a mat screen I use windolene clear and some soft tissue. Spray the tissue till its damp then wipe.
Glossy screens are a different game all together and require a lot of hair removalAs above then polish for aweek with a micro fibre cloth or a glasses lens cleaner.
All best done after the monitor has been switched off for several hours to go cold
Wouldn't suggest that to be honest, the anti-glare coating on monitors is extremely delicate. Windolene is too powerful, and tissue can scratch it off.
oh shut upBeen doing it for years ....litterally. With zero problems.
Bear in mind its the clear windolene not the pink petroleum based stuff.
Still dumb to do and a risk you take.
LCD's are not to be treat as Glass like CRT.
You can get a branded kit for £3-4 that has a brush/Microcloth and Spray of cleaner.![]()
Then you probably killed the anti-glare a while ago and just don't notice!![]()
.
Again, its a risk you take 1st time you use something that's not made for cleaning screens.
It may be fine or it may attack the coating.
