Screen connectors

Hi
Whats the best way to connect my screen to my 7970?
HDMI or DVI-I.
At the moment i have my DELL p190s connected via VGA into DVI-I adapter, into DVI-I port..im getting flickering when playing games and my Win icons a slightly blurred.

Either DVI or HDMI will offer the same quality

e: That monitor only has VGA and DVI-D

Depends upon what is introducing the flicker and blur. Assuming you are driving the correct resolution (1280*1024 iirc, I closed the spec tab), VGA *should* be fine, but it's old analogue tech which should just die. Certainly trying a new DVI cable would be my first course of action.

E: also, 7970 at that resolution is massive overkill. I hope you've asked Santa for a nice 1080p+ screen for Christmas

Yes im looking at screens now...this is an old one im borrowing until i find a good second hand one at a reasonable price...they seem so small and expensive compared to TV's. looks like ill have to settle with 27" but i think ill get 3 19"
