This may be more of a monitor issue but I think it's from hardware. I've just got one of these Plugable Dual Display Universal Docking Station so I can get rid of my ancient PC and just use my Samsung Series 5 NP550P5C laptop which is much better.
I've got it all up and working but the secondary monitor (connected by VGA) is flickering ever so slightly as soon as I move the mouse over it or start typing etc.
Given it's got a nice high resolution to it I was hoping to watch some HD video stuff again on the bigger monitor but the flickering is very evident on videos (trying to watch Life on Netflix).
The hub's video input is DVI and it came with adapters for HDMI and VGA, I'm obviously using VGA at the minute but will the DVI make any difference? The output on my laptop is VGA and I noticed the signal isn't that much better when I went straight through the laptop.
Do you think it's worth investing in a DVI cable?
