Screen Keeps Freezing and Flashing Black

Every now and then, quite often though, my screen just freezes but I can still move the mouse. Then the screen flashes black and it leaves distortion in areas of the screen until I refresh it, then it's back to normal. It only started happening yesterday and nothing has changed

Anyone have any ideas? Really starting to stress me out

GFX card, has to be.

what are your temps like and what do you mean by distortion?

Well some pictures, for example the OcUK logo at the top left, will be black and white lines all random.

My computer is totally idle and as cold as ice, it just randomly happened

can you get a screeny when it next happens?

does it do it on stuff other than your browser?

Sounds messed up but a screeny will give it away somewhat.

Just trying to think what you could do in the meantime.....vista or XP?

I re-installed drivers and that didn't work. Then I used that software which removes the driver first, driver cleaner I think? And re-installed the drivers again, it seems pretty stable at the moment - so good so far

Let's just hope she holds up, cheers for the help bud
