Screen lock app?

Hey

So I've dug out my oldest boys nexus 9 (could be a 10?) For my 14 month old to watch a few YouTube videos.

So, is there any apps to lock the screen so when he's battering the screen it won't turn the video off or if I find his some colouring app or whatever he can't turn it off.

Is there such thing?

Have you tried pinning the app to the screen? Normally once the app is open you press the recents button and there is a push pin icon in the corner. If you push this it then locks you in that app. you can press and hold the back and recents buttons to exit the pinned mode
