Screen mirroring from an Android phone to a Garmin Dezl 1000

I have a Garmin Dezl 1000 for my Lorry and would like to screen mirror my android phone so I can watch netflix etc whilst waiting to be tipped. I would rather not try side loading google play as I do not want to clog it up. I am looking to see if anyone knows of any apps where you can mirror easily between two android devices so I can just stream my phone to the tablet to basically just use it as a screen?

I don't think you can from the looks of it. There's ways to mirror to a PC via ADB but not to another Android device.

Is there no way to get an app that basically mimics a TV so I can just cast to the tablet as if it was a television?

I found an android to android mirror app but only works with Youtube and is really laggy. Netflix, Disney+ etc just gives a black screen although the audio works.

There used to be an app called Cheapcast which emulated a Chromecast, but then Google updated the Chromecast API so it no longer works with a lot of apps. The receiving side is close source, so I don't think it'll be possible any more.

From the sounds of what you found it could be emulating Miracast, but because of copyright reasons Netflix and Disney+ will have the black screen issue. The same issue might even occur if you used a portable USB display, these apps are very strict on what is allowed to play their content.
