Need a little help, not sure if it's driver, gpu, monitor or windows related issue so i suppose General Hardware is the best place to ask, but I'm thinking the monitor may be to blame.
When I switch on the PC it loads into windows as normal (i know as I hear the intro sound) then no matter what i press - ctrl+alt+dlt, windows key, show desktop, launch programs with keybinds, restart, press the monitor buttons for source, auto, on off - the monitor shows no picture and the light flashes as if the PC isnt switched on. After between 5-10 mins the screen comes on. Source button doesnt try to look between digital and analog inputs.
If i press del on startup to enter BIOS (without the screen coming on) the PC still takes approx 5-10mins to come on. I've tried swtiching between PEG/PCI and PCI/PEG in BIOS, no difference.
I've tried the second DVI port on the gfx card, no difference. the only things i havent tried yet are the second PCIE slot or VGA input (as the gfx card doesnt have one and i dont have a DVI->VGA adapter).
I'm guessing as it is the same whether i load BIOS or boot to windows that it must be a hardware rather than software issue. Is my monitor on the way out? It's showing no other problems - Samsung 2053BW less than 3 years old i think, so may still be within warranty.
HELP, it's really annoying!!
