Hi. i have a windows 7 64 adn i just downloaded a load of free screen video recording softwares. they all installed properly (not at the same time, i used the next when the one befor didn't work) and they all record fine, kinda. its just that they wont record the whole screen. they only record the top left hand side of the screen... i have set the area of recording to cover the whole screen but this dosent work.


any ideas anyone. i'm trying to record my powerpoint presentations to put on dvd

Have you tried playing around with resolution settings of your desktop and/or the software you are using?

Also the software you have been trying, are they crippled trial versions or supposed to be fully working?

There may also be discussion boards for some of the software you have been trying. Have a look on there; i'm sure you're not alone!

Have you tried camtasia? I passed over it because it doesn't record fullscreen games properly and just records your desktop under the game, but other than that it has a lot of good functions including full-screen record and selected area recording, along with editing software.
Have you tried doing a selected area recording and just highlighting the whole screen?
