screen res 2048 x 1536

ok im trying trying get my screen res to a min of 2048 x 1536, but i cab only get it to 1920 x 1080. any ideas.

my set up is

dell hd screen
intel core i5
asus p7p55d-e
4gb of ram
radeon hd 5770

i am usings a hdmi cable.

What is the model number of the monitor? Are you sure that 1920x1080 is not the max?

1920x1200 is the max you can use with HDMI.

Don't think you can go above this resolution with that particular screen.

That one will only do 1920x1080 max. Therefore the HDMI cable is fine.

You might have to look at other places if you want cheaper, or go second hand.

These days? A 30" LCD will do it, but it'll look horrible as it's not only not it's native resolution it's a different ratio as well. Your GPU would handle it no problem.

Any reason you want to do that res? Some CRTs will do it.

As has already been said, There are some screens that will do 2560x1**0

i play eve online and would like to have 4 x the game running at once for pvp and with my screen i can have 2 left to right with abit of over lapping but not to bottom, the game will only go down to 1024 x x768.

Well then, another option, and a lot cheaper, is to get another 1920x1080 screen. Your 5770 will be able to handle both screens if you're only running Eve online. But four clients? I won't ask why
