Just checking out the new Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop.
love It but the resolution (1366X768) is concerning me.

one of the reason I want to get a new laptop Is because my old 15" laptop
has a resolution of 1200X800.

How much more (web page) stuff will I be able to see on screen at once

I wanted 1440X900 to be honest but It's not offered.

Will I see much of a difference going from 1200X800 to 1366X768 ?

cheers guys.

theres no way i wanna lose more space vertical.
im sick of having to scroll down to see more of a webpage lol.

think i'll consider the studio laptop instead actualy.

Well be aware that the Studio models have their own set of issues (i.e. the special media buttons can activate on their own on boot/resume increasing the volume to max and try to eject the DVD drive multiple times ... the latter they can also do at random ... seems to be a design fault)

edit: hmmmm ... given that the normal single height windows taskbar height is ~34 pixels having 768 instead of 800 will only loose you ~1 taskbar height and 900 will only give you ~3 taskbars more ... if you are trying to justify buying a new laptop purely so you can scroll less on webpages then save your money ...

Some good points many thanks.
Didnt realise the Studio issue with buttons ect was so widespread.

As the laptop will be used as a desktop replacement I will go for a 17" 1920X1200 job i think :)
