ok guys... about 2 weeks ago i bought a whole new pc set up, whihc included a hyundai 19" widescreen (N91W if that means anything)
and an MSI 7900 GTO GPU..

now... i want to set my screen resoution properly. at the mo its set at 1025x768... this makes all icons and the taskbar pretty big, but the only others that would make it smaller, are 1280X1024, which makes all writing and icons look stretched out to the sides, aswell as being a bit too small and 1440x900 which doesnt make the writing streched to the side, just is a bit too small for me....

so.. is there any way of getting different resolutions that arnet in the display settings reached from the control panel??

TFT's work best at their native resolution.

You could try changing the resolution in your nvidia control panel.

*Edit* Try the native resolution but try adjusting the font and icon size etc in display properties. Also try enabling clear type as that can make text clearer on some monitors.

The native resolution for that monitor is 1440x900

It should be the highest setting available in your display properties. If it's not there then you may have to install a display driver.

Did you have a driver disc with your monitor?

no.. or atleast i dont think so... there was a disc, but it said user manual

oh.. but 1440x900 is in my properties, so i should use that?

Yes, use that setting as that will give you the best resolution for that monitor.

If it's showing that resolution then you may not need a driver but a driver will most likely be on the same disc as the user manual.
