Got a Yosemite MacBook here.
I enabled screen sharing and set a password. Originally I wasn't able to connect to mac using vnc from a windows client as the Mac wasn't connected to vpn.
This is now fixed.
However during my investigations I noticed the DEFAULT setting on the MacBook is for the firewall to be turned off.
I thought that cant be right and turned it on. In the firewall settings there is an exclusion for screen sharing.
However with the firewall turned on and screen sharing excluded in the firewall, I am unable to VNC in to the Macbook.
The default port is 5900 but I cant see anywhere in the macbook where you check what port number screen sharing is set up to use.
Any ideas how I get this to work with the firewall turned on?
