Screen suddenly goes 'hazy'

When my PC boots up, it all looks fine, then after about 30 seconds, everything on the screen just suddenly has a light hazy film covering it.

Everything just slightly fades/gets lighter, as if you suddenly opened a window and it was shining on the screen or something.

Why is it suddenly doing this?

Try a different monitor if you can, rule that out at least.

Specs of monitor and PC?

Also check the video cable is connected firmly at the pc end and the monitor itself.

What type of cable are you using ?

dynamic contrast enabled? that will brighten/dull the screen depending on whats being shown on screen ect
