Screen tearing help

Hey, I seem to be getting a lot of screen tearing on games, even at ~150fps on games lag is noticable and tearing is annoying me.
Here's my specs;
i2500
GTX 560
8gb 1600
My monitor is a Philips 227E-line (70hz) but I still see lag..

I suspect refresh rate isn't the problem.

The 5ms Response time is more likely the problem you're noticing.

From my pov I needed 2ms to match crt levels of responce.

As for the tearing, some monitors don't seem to do this, some do.

My Samsung P2450 has never has a tearing issue, but most of my previous TFTs had some when over the native rate.

It's called "sync every frame" at least it is in other COD games
