screen turning off and on intermittently

Hi there I wondered if anyone could help with a little issue I have, I currently have two monitors set up with dp cables and every now and then my screen will go black for about 3 seconds then come back on again, I've just upgraded my graphics card and it did the same on the old card so thinking it's probably not that

Is there anything in the event viewer?

If a replacement graphics card didn't do anything, my guess is that you have a dodgy cable.

I had that happen with an old PC that was in my living room, one time by chance I had the door open and heard the fridge/freezer compressor kick in at the same time the screen went blank.

I replaced the HDMI cable with a better quality one and the problem went away.

So there's a chance it could be environmental like my fridge compressor creating EMF in combination with poorly shielded cheap cables so worth keeping in mind before you start buying loads of new parts trying to rule things out.

I've had the same in the past with a dodgy cable as well, also try a different power cable to the monitor?
