Screenshot Problem

Greetings all,

I'm trying to take some screeshots of game footage that are in MPEG format. What's happening is that I take the screen shot, edit to my hearts content in PSP and save the image as a jpeg. If I go to open the jpeg, I get nothing but a black image. Any ideas?

I'm running Windows Media Player 11 if it helps. I've also tried using the Winamp Media player and still no joy.

Its to protect the content of the video, its acctually illigal to take image screenshots of videos due to copyright infringments. It's to stop that happening. There is ways to do it but I'm affraid I can't mention it on this forum. Sorry.

you're talking crap?

turn off the hardware acceleration in troubleshoot tab in display properties

or even get VLC player and use screenshot button from there

Incidently, it's a mpeg made by my company. It's just the lazy marketing people never got round to ftp'ing the artwork.

Im not sure if this works with MPEGs, but powerDVD allows you to take screenshots when other programs produce the blackness like you describe.
