I'm looking for a CPU cooler which I am able to screw down, my motherboard doesn't fit the push plugs. I have a LGA775 socket, help?!

Thanks

Out of curiosity why don't the push pins fit your motherboard?

The motherboard I have is one which came with my 2 year old computer, its one of HP's and for some reason the holes are just too small.

Got a budget in mind? Cheap as possible? Or looking to heavily overclock?

EDIT: I *think* this is screws - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-001-CS

See here - http://www.corsair.com/media/cms/manual/Corsair_A70-A50_Mounting_Information_-_Intel.pdf

Thanks for these, I'll look into it. Don't really have a budget just want my computer to run properly, two out of four screws have broke on the one I have now.

Are you sure that there isn't just some sort of removable backplate on the motherboard which protrudes through the holes making them smaller?

@ scottmuir424

That appears a very poor attempt at disguising the offer of an item for sale outside of the Members Market.

Perhaps you should have a re-think about leaving that post in place.

how do you do this then i will gladly make a thread up in the MM if OP is interested just trying to help a fellow member didnt think i was being underhanded and apologise if it came across that way

Yep! those are my pictures and I just saw the other thread about it, I'm gonna try and take the motherboard out and see if it comes out...
