Can anyone tell me the difference between these 2 screwdriver sets

1160 i/1165 i/7 Screwdriver set Kraftform Comfort VDE and voltage tester, 7 pieces

Wera 031575 Kraftform Comfort VDE Screwdriver Set (7 Pieces)

The pictures don't show any difference and the description doesn't say anything

Without being arsed to Google very likley its just differnt SKU for differnt retailers

No idea you've only got "representative" pics there too so don't expect what arrives to look exactly like the pics either. A big problem with amazon

Like I say it's possibly just somone has collected a bunch and got a mixed match of skus so it might be a colour difference or something minor so a retailer can say "Exclusive to xxx".

If you Google the individual names you might be able to find a differnce.

I would but I'm one bus so bit awkward on the phone.

Do you need them all btw?

As if you only need one particular one when it comes to a common use tool like a screw driver its often better to buy one really decent one than a kit for the same price.

But it's its just a cover all kit dor occasional work wera is generally decent enough

I need a set of them for electronics work, I think I figured out the difference

One is
1162 i PH VDE - aka phillips
1165 i PZ VDE - aka pozi

Not sure which one I'd use more

Pozi drive.

It's a Philips without the cam profile, you're not using it in a power tool so you won't break the fastener and it won't pop out of tight screws so less anoying

But it won't always fit Phillips screws which are more common so if you don't know what you're going to be using it on Philips is more useful.

If there's 4 thin lines between the cuts on a screw its pozi drive not philips.

Best to look at what you're going to be working on to decide

How's the fit on them? Is there much play between the bits and the handle?

Nice and sturdy, slot together well

I cant fault them, must be as good quality as wera etc but cheaper, never snapped one by hand, snapped a pz2 using it in a drill but that was my fault and they get rough use everyday, using handle to knock in rawl plugs etc

the small pz0 p0 sizes really come in handy and the star bits fit appliances like washers / cookers etc

Also precision handle is so much faster and takes less effort to unscrew things

How often have you used them though ?

Here's the thing with screwdrivers:

You'll buy a nice, fancy set of 7. You'll end up using two or three and the rest will lie in your toolbox for the rest of days. You'll then lose or break one of the ones you you use most frequently and replace it, but then you'll see all the lovely sets for sale and you'll buy another whole new set because shiny. Fast forward a few years and you have 74 screwdrivers in your toolbox of all different brands and you'll still be using the same two or three you started out with.

Also, those Wera ones are crap. Too much plastic around the nose so you can't squeeze them in to little holes. Yes I've had that exact set.

Spend a tenner more and get this set.

Cheers for the advices

Unfortunately I purchased these before any of you had a chance to reply

https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000VD6UAA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They were £39.99 at the time but it seems Amazon has jacked up the price in the last 4 or 5 hours

Only reason I went with these are from googling vde screwdriver reviews most seem to say Wera are good, Wiha and Bahco get some good thumbs up too so if these ones I buy end up failing (it's only really going to be light use anyway on projects) I'll give the others a go
