Hi

Im making a custom case :) and need longer screws than you normally get to mount HDs, motherboard etc.

does anyone know the size of the coarse and fine screws in terms of M2 or whatever and the pitch? I could do with buying a whole bundle of them from a DIY place :)

The finer thread screws are M3, I've only ever seen them with one thread pitch (I think it's 0.7mm).

Sorry, I have no idea what size the coarser threaded 'hard drive' screws are, probably some weird imperial thread.

No competitor talk please or hinting!

• Nuts:
M2.5 x40pc
M3 50pc
Any good?

Sorry about competitor hints.:(

I think ive seen that set in my searches, however they dont offer different pitches, only different overall length of the screws. I have seen some long coarse screws (holding an old Dell PII case together) recently so they must exist...

the hunt continues :D
