Hi all,

Not literally I should add, I am looking for a shop/location (in UK) where I can get #6 32 TPI 1.25" (Number 6 machine screws 1.25 inches in length, or 3 cm if you metric minded) it's for an H100 to add push fans. Internet is failing me and I could only find 2.5 CM lengths in the local branded retailer.

Addtionally has anyone any experience with 650 ti cards and noise, I am thinking of replacing the corsair fans on the h100 and my two 560 ti's sound louder, but can't be sure (years of loud music has somewhat damaged my hearing) so I am wondering if is the 560 ti's or the corsair fans just being that loud. (speed control is set to medium on the corsair control)

Choice of Fan(s) would be:

Compucase CF-V12HP Cougar Fan

Unless someone has a recommendation for a cheaper/ same air flow noise fan.

Thanks,

Screwfix generally have a good range of screws as you would expect. The gentle typhoons are expensive but also very good and work well with the h100 so I hear.

Thanks W3bbo there is one by the office here so I will take a look, however sizing - since #6 equates to m3.5 anyone know if the 3.5's have enough TPI? I've found this chart but am not 100% sure if m3.5 will fit. It seems to suggest it but other guides say it's only 0.6 gradient and the closest to 32 TPI is 0.8 gradient (which would make it an M5 which wouldn't fit - too fat)

Metric UNC UNF
M2 x 0.4 1-64 1-72
M2.5 x 0.45 3-48 3-56
M3 x 0.5 4-40 4-48
M3.5 x 0.6 6-32 6-40
M4 x 0.7 8-32 8-36
M5 x 0.8 10-24 10-32
M6 x 1 1/4-20 1/4-28

I ordered some 6-32 capscrews of 3" in length from here at the begining of the week and got them today. Seem to be a good bunch and have a good selection of sizes too.

If you are wondering why i went so long they have to fit through a rad grill, 38mm fan, 25mm shroud and a fan gasket before going into the rad.

Found these Screw UNC 6-32 x 30mm Cross-Slotted (4 Pack) - Black Nickel from a few retailers cheap to. I like the fact the threads limited to stop you screwing it in too far.
