How do you scribe skirting, whilst allowing it to line up to the non-scribed pieces at either end, be it a corner or straight?

My dip is in the middle so by eventually cutting off 10mm either end leaves a 10mm shortfall in height to join onto the next piece.

Have to scribe all walls with skirting or take a small amount off the `high` end of the other skirting
Another option is to put a piece of quadrant in front of the skirting with the gap

or

If you want to go to the trouble glue a extra piece of wood to the bottom of the skirting that is short then scribe that

If you want it perfect then level it using spacers and scribe from the lowest point, so say you had to take 10mm off at each end then level your next piece up to the next wall and set your scriber to take 10mm off where they would meet and mark your line

Once you start scribing you have to scribe every piece. Easy to work around it some way.

That's not the case if it rises in the middle but good point. I'd rather scribe it than use trim as it gives you the skills in other areas like filler strips and kick boards and even skirting where trim isn't an option
