Script for restarting a Windows Service!?

Does anyone know of a script that will force (if an application problem occurs) a service restart under set parameters!?

Its needs to be able to detect the service failing and then set about recovering it.

Or its there something in Windows i can do!?

cant you just do 'net start <service name>'?

Computer Management MMC, Services and Applications - Services under the Recovery tab of each service are a number of definable actions to take in the event of the service stopping:

- Take no action
- Restart the Service
- Run a user defined file
- Reboot the machine

I think you want the second one
