Script to restart gfx driver (or chage resolution)?..

Thanks for reading i know the subject sounds a little odd so here goes.

Im running VMC with video and audio over HDMI from my 4870.
Occasionally i loose audio and have to either reboot the media centre or change resoltion down to 720 and back up to 1080P to get audio back which is a pain in the butt.

Is it possible to script a resolution change.?? then i can ad this as an entry into VMC for when the audio goes again.

Having thought about this a bit longer, im thinking maybe create 2 profiles in ATI CCC then create some kind of shortcut to these within VMC.??

There's a wee utility on our PC's in work called QuickRes.....it has the look of something that accepts commandline options....if your profile idea fails it may be worth looking like this.
