Scripting resources

Hi,

I've recently started a new Sys Admin job, and it's opened my eyes to the advantages of being handy with scripting (both dos batch scripting & VB).
My experience with either is pretty limited but I'm damn keen to master both... can anyone recommend some good online resources?

You have probably already visited - but MS have a fairly decent script center to get started: MS Script Centre

Yep - the script repository (on the right) covers most of the basic scripts for general administration....

Up also worth getting the MS scriptomatic toolkit's. They can be very helpful knocking together WMI queries etc

Make sure you get your hands on PStools. I have found these little gems invaluable, especially psexec.
