Scuffed Bumper worth getting repaired?

How old is the car? Any other damage? And how long do you intend to keep it for?

Those would probably be my deciding factors on whether to get it repaired.
It’s a 2019, no other damage apart from a scratch on the inside drivers side door and marks on the passenger side wing mirror cover. Planning to keep it forever.

Get some fine sandpaper 1500 or 2000, lightly sand the scratch until it's level, get some matching paint and fill the scratch until level, may take 2-3 applications, lightly sand level again, then repeat process with clearcote, get some polish with a rotary and polish until smooth again, only try this if you decide to take it anyway in case you mess it up :D there are plenty of guides on YT.

For £180 I'd get it sorted because it would annoy me knowing it's there
Its booked in for early November, now I won't be so ****** off every time I look at it. For the sake of £180 its worth it. Took me 4.5 years of ownership to inflict the damage so hopefully I won't be needing their services again for awhile.

100% would get some 1000 grit wet/dry and just take the edge of the scratch and use chipex or other stone chip system and then if you don't have DA or similar, just use G3 Scratch Removed and elbow grease to polish.. White is one of the most forgiving colours IME..

Nah that’s not for me, it’s £36.95 for the cheapest chipex kit, I’d rather put that towards a professional job. Really the money isn’t a problem.

A good point, although once you have the chipex, then all those little annoying stone chips that occur every once in a while you can sort in 5 minutes and keep the car looking nice..

On the money front, it's such exceeding poor VFM for that amount of damage I'd not be able to justify it personally, but that might be fine for you.

I know but for body shop repairs which are notoriously expensive it’s not bad. I even had someone quote me £375! Its not great VFM but I’d rather have it repaired than £180 sitting in my bank account doing nothing. Seriously I won’t miss it, just have to overlook the VFM aspect, I’ll be pleased when it’s done.

They are in business to make money after all, it’s not their fault the damage is only minor that’s my decision to have it looked at.

I'm coming at it that £180 is not enough for a proper full bumper respray, and for a localised 'smart' repair, that needs good skills to blend and match well.. I've seen so many crap smart repairs.. so unless you aren't really that fussy, or you have good faith in their ability, then I'd not want to pay £180, be disappointed and then end up paying more to rectify it..

£375 is just about enough for a full bumper respray, but still needs you going in eyes open..

They are doing a half bumper respray for £180, and it’s not a SMART repair but a proper body shop. As I posted earlier this company is recommended by the Smart main dealer, I have no concerns about the quality of their workmanship.

180 isn't a half bumper respray as no reputable body shop would either
a) spray half a bumper or
b) do it for that price when mixing paint costs almost half that before even starting to do any work

It’s not suspiciously cheap, I had other quotes of £210 based on the photos, and £185 to £250 based on the photos from another company. These guys are fully booked until early November. I guess they have enough business in order to offer competitive prices.

Anyway it’s my problem, I’ll let you know how it went in 6 weeks time.

It’s not rocket science, they just sand it down and mix the paint to get the right color then repaint it and add a clear cut. My job isn’t particularly difficult either.
Tell us you know sod all about painting without telling us...
