Yamaha R125. It was locked to a huge lump of concrete and parked behind a row of cars in a communal parking area. Both bike and concrete block are gone so they must have been damn determined.
Police wont come out to take a look as it has rained so no chance of there being finger prints.
My insurance company are claiming my excess is £900 despite me having my policy here which states £300. I've even faxed it to them but they still state that their records are final. FSA/office of fair trading or something similar here I come!
It's always when you want something to go smoothly that it kicks up another issue.
It was due into the garage on Thursday as the front caliper is shot and periodically locks up.
Heaven forbid should it lock with them doing 80 down a twisty tree lined lane. Though saying that, I'm sure our legal system would somehow find a way to attribute some blame to me if they were to be hurt.
Chances are it may be split for parts, but even so I'd keep an eye out for it on ebay and gumtree, as I have heard of peoples stolen stuff turning up on there...
It's been over a week now. I've made 5 calls during this week, twice I was told a member of their theft department would call me back within the hour, once I was placed on hold for half an hour only to be told they couldn't help and the last two calls I've just been hung up on.
I know my experience isn't likely to be universal so I'm not going to start preaching about how terrible LV/Highway are for everyone. I'm just angry and disappointed.
