Well first off, is anyone using this cooler on a P5K deluxe?
I'm about ready to order this thing with an xtra fan for push-pull setup (no idea how I'll fix it yet though), but I'm just a bit scared about it only being held on by similar crappy clips to the stock cooler (much prefer the am2 and 939 setup!!) Can somebody put me at ease that the brute will not fall off and total my 8800gtx.

If it fell off would it really be such a popular heatsink?

You should be fine, just make sure the stupid 775 clips are properly in

I much prefer the 939 setup like you, it actually feels secure unlike the 775.

Given how much the heatsink weighs, I can't imagine one fan - even a 120mm - will make any real difference. Yes, the choice of clip was silly, but it seems to work.

even if it did fall off i doubt it would do any damage atall

A kilo lump of metal with fairly sharp edges would do a fair bit of damage I imagine...

Yes, I can see I left room for doubt as to what I was worried about in the falling off department. It was the whole damn thing,

not the fan.
I've seen a couple of reviews where they have compared dual fans to the single fan and it seems to make a fair difference, so I'm going to get a couple of silenx fans to slap on either side, also I have found somewhere who sells the spare clipsfor 3€ a pair so I'll do the job proper like. Trouble is I'm now toying with the idea of getting the ninja b as it weighs quite a bit less. God I didn't faff about this much deciding which mainboard and cpu to go for!!!
