Not sure which to go for.

The Kaze is out of stock ATM, and the Zalman is on special.

Zalman allows controlling all fans with one dial and also monitors power consumption (hey, im green, i like to know how much im ****ing the planet! ;) ).

Anyone have any experience with either of these?

i just ordered the kaze, it's a lot plainer and matches my case better, but it sounds like you're leaning towards the zalman, i think you just go for what looks best or what you prefer

Im actually leaning towards the kaze.

I like the looks of it more, and you cant control all the fans with just the one dial like i thought you could on the zalman. Plus the silver bit would have looked daft.

Just need to wait for the kaze to get back in stock, it was in stock when i ordered, but as something else was on preorder, my order was held back, now the other item is in and the kaze is out of stock :(

I purchased the Zalman about 6 weeks ago.

It has a few negatives mainly the poor lcd used with terrible angles, great within 27 degrees but terrible if like me, you keep your case under your table.

With that aside it does as it says on the packaging. It looks better than any other fan controller which i needed as I have a G70, It also displays the power consumption which to my surprise shows my rig at only drawing 236W.

All in all each to their own. I went for something that looked great imo but the power consumption heavily tilted me to the zalman

The power consumption is something that is really nice about the zalman i must admit.

I was going be adding a wall socket meter, but it would just be easier in the fan unit!

I used the Akasa, then got the Kaze, the latter being much better. It`s nicely understaded, the readout looks great in it`s Green/Blue config, there`s the option of being able to turn off any Fan totally.Looks great in a Lian Li, i`ll get some pics up of the Kaze in my Lian,as soon as the paint dries on the case,it`s sat in the Garage at the moment drying, after a Black internals spray job.

The Kaze looks awesome in black shiney cases. Perfomes well my only gripe with it is the cable management system needs looking into, you cant just plug in the 3pin fan connections but you have to use the extension leads (supplied) and this leads to a lot of bunched up wires. This aside its one good product.
