Hello,

I'm just considering upgrading the CPU cooler on my partners computer (I find the stock Wraith Stealth cooler unbearable to hear!)

I'm considering something like the Scythe Ninja 5 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/scythe-scnj-5000-ninja-5-cpu-cooler-120mm-hs-04g-sy.html

She has a AMD Ryzen 3600, so socket AM4.

But the product description says "- New mounting system compatible with all common AMD & Intel sockets (except AM4)"

Yet...further down the product description it says AM4 is supported...could anyone clarify? will this work on AM4?

- New mounting system compatible with all common AMD & Intel sockets (except AM4)

The mounting system HPMS in the current version III is based on an even simpler mounting and increased compatibility, which is based on AMDs AM2, AM2 +, AM3, AM3 +, AM4, FM1, FM2, FM2 +

- AMD: AM2, AM2 +, AM3, AM3 +, AM4, FM1, FM2, FM2 +

CPU Socket
1150, 1151, 1155, 2011-V3, AM3+, FM2+, AM2+, AM4, 2066, 1156, 1200

sorry for the mass of quotes, the description is just contradictory :)

I think Ninja 5 would be a good cooler on 3600, giving very good cooling being quiet doing it. In my experience 3600 run rather hot doing normal low workload tasks, Mine under Thermalright AMO-M14. Similar 6x 6mm heatpipe cooler with similar size fin pack as Ninja 5. My 3600 under ARO-M14 idles in 35c with constant spiking to 50c range making graph look like a very fine deep tooth saw blade. But when working hard temps are much smoother graph around 70c with only a few small spikes.
