Just bought one of these yesterday for my shiny new conroe system (no doubt questions to come about oc'ing that when I get a chance to sit down with it, though I have already read quite a bit).

For now I've just setup the normal 'scythe' fan pushing onto the heatsink whilst intaking air from the back of the case. I do however had several 120mm Akasa Amber-quiet and Akasa crystal fans sitting around and I was considering using these instead in a push-pull setup.

I was wondering if people who had used the ninja had ran any similar setups and their thoughts on a) the current default fan setup and b) the proposed push-pull.

Thanks in advance :)

(btw: The Scythe Ninja is still a decent air cooler right?)

Yes, it's still a decent air cooler, probably only second to the Tuniq Tower. I've mine set up with a fan on the right hand side of the heatsink pushing air onto it and a 120mm fan on the back of the case extracting. Seems to work fine.

Cool, glad to hear it :) Annoyingly, I thought that the TT was unavailable at my local retailer (I was too impatient to order this stuff online...) so I bought the Ninja. Shortly after putting my payment through, the guy I was speaking to asked why I didn't go for the TT... @!!#!

Ah well :)

Stick with the fan that came with the Ninja, it's better than the Ambers.

I seem to remember reading that push-pull on the Ninja didn't make much difference?
