hi

ive just connected the scythe ninja rev2 to my processor (*** a pain in the ass that was) during connection two of the mounts wouldnt connect thru the holes properly and kept pinging out, i finally managed to connect it, but now im worried if i tip the case up the foot mounts will ping out again, cut my hands to shreds tryin to get this thing on. the manual was really vague and in print so small i needed a mag glass, anyway problem here goes, after the install i fitted the mobo into the case and then happened to read thru the instructions of the stock cooler to see how that was connected, in there it tellls me i should screw the screws on the foot mounts in however the mounts seem to be holding and i cannot see the screws anymore dont really want to touch just wondering is this necessary now that the ends are poking thru the other side of the mobo do i need to screw aswell?

thanks fonzio

Hi mate

If all four feet have the white tips poking through the other side fully, then your board will be properly attached. To check this, there should be a tiny piece of black plastic that pushes the white "split pin" apart that you will be able to see poking through the centre of the white feet.

The reason these are hard to fit is obvious, because when you attach the last foot you need to practially bend the metal clip to push it in (since the others are already pulling it away from the board once fitted). You can make this a bit easier on yourself by fitting opposite corners alternatively.

As above, im sure if each foot is through and opened fully, then your the fan is on fine. If you do move it with your hand, there will be movement in it. Lots of people have this with the Ninja (including me) but the contact is still ok.

gluck!
