Scythe Ninja Plus Heatpipe on a A8N32-Sli

Everything you need comes in the box. You have to replace the original baseplate with the Scythe compatiable one. No real problems regarding space, when using Mushkin Extreme. Had to mount the fan so it was blowing towards the top of the case.

I found it fitted fine on this board.
Not sure why you would mount the fan pointing towards the top of the case, mine fitted pointing towards the back as it should.
Be aware that it won't work with really big ram such as the corsair stuff with leds, i tried it. Works fine with normal sized ram, and you can get it out with the heatsink still in.
I also didn't use the backplate that came with it, i kept the backplate on the board and it worked fine.

I spent some time after that was taken tidying, and then had to rma that psu two days later. :(

When i get my next one i'll try and do a better job, but even though its a big case its packed with kit and the wiring is a nightmare. The reason the 2nd (older) pic looks so much better is because nothing is plugged in. ;)

Cable ties and patience is the key. Eliminate the wires you wont use and stick them behind the psu or mobo tray. With the wires you do use try and find a way to route them along the case while using the ties to attach them. Can be tricky but well worth it.

I use all my wires, unlike these people who buy high end uber powerful psus and stick half the connectors in a corner unused.

I'm very glad i didn't use cable ties because i would have had to cut them all a couple of days later when i had to rma the psu.
I also change things in there quite often so i don't like using anything too perminant like cable ties.

When the new psu is ordered and i've rma'd the motherboard then i can do a proper job of it.

Due to the fact, that my Cooler Master ATC S4000 case is only 17cm wide. and if the fan was mounted on the HS, above the ram, it would actually be out the side of the case!!

I will more than likely, be looking at a smaller fan, as my core temps are good - and try and mount it rear facing, to see if theres an improvement in the case temp (although the case temp is OK anyway, I realise that having the fan top facing is unorthodox, and doesn't do much for the air flow through the system.)

Modular power supply perhaps? Strikes me as much easier than having to route and hide loads of cables that may not be used.

Ever heard of Modular PSU's?
Yes.

So why would i want a modular one if i have to plug in all the cables anyway?

I know, i noticed that and i'm not sure why as it looks fine to me. Funny camera angle or something.
The audigy underneath looks bent aswell and i can say for certain that it isn't so it must be the camera angle...
