It should come with instructions, mine did.
First, fit the plastic bracket onto the front of the board. You can probably keep the original metal backplate on the back of the board.
Then apply thermal paste, sit the heatsink on the cpu with the 4 clips ready to latch into the 4 slots on the plastic retention bracket.
Hold the top of the heatsink firmly so it won't tilt or rock, while you clip on diagonal clips first. Then it should be a simple matter of clipping on the final two clips. Do not do this inside the case.
