Scythe Ninja v Freezer64 Db

Anyone have any information on the rated Db for these 2?

freezer 64 is very quiet but the ninja can be very quiet as it has removable fan so you can fit any quiet fan. Im going to use one with a vantec stealth that is very quiet and i cant hear it inside case when 5v

I got both here and the ninja has a 120mm fan on it and is barely audible.my Freezer screams like a banshee.

Just wanted to know if the Freezer was over loud or the Ninja was very quiet.

the freezers are louder. ninja's actually come with a very quiet fan even at 12v, spinning at 1200rpm.

I believe the 0.8sone rating equates to around 25dba? The Scythe fan is rated at 23.5dba.

not really understanding your question TBH, because either heatsink can be fitted with quieter fans than shipped with. It all depends on what performance you are after.

By all accounts the quiestest fans available are the AcoustiFan range. They dont push much air tho.

I would think that the fan shipped with the ninja will be quieter than the freezer, however the scythe fan is not quiet (from a quiet pc enthusiasts perpective), its got poor airflow and its heavy. I also found it to resonate at some speeds.
By contrast the nexus 120mm fan is light, extremely quiet and has moderate airflow, and it goes very well with the ninja.
The acoustifan range are not as good as the nexus.
